Job Description:
HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is seeking a dedicated and
skilled Nurse Manager for our Clinical Decision Unit. This vital
role involves leading a team within a fast-paced department that
focuses on determining patient status and appropriate care
pathways. The Nurse Manager will oversee all operational,
administrative, and nursing staff activities while ensuring
compliance with hospital policies and the highest standards of
patient care and safety. This position reports directly to the
Director of Nursing and is pivotal in collaborating with other
healthcare professionals to promote patient-focused decision-making
that drives clinical excellence and outcomes. Lead and supervise
the nursing staff in the Clinical Decision Unit to ensure quality
and efficient patient care. Develop and implement policies and
procedures that maintain and improve the hospital's standards of
care. Manage departmental staffing, scheduling, and ongoing
training and development of employees. Ensure all healthcare
regulations and safety standards are met or exceeded. Collaborate
with interdisciplinary teams to discuss and resolve patient care
issues. Monitor patient care for quality assurance and implement
changes to improve services when necessary. Manage the budget and
resources of the department responsibly. Participate in the
development of patient care plans and review patient status and
outcomes. Exceptional leadership and nursing management skills.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in healthcare
management systems and electronic health records. Ability to work
collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team. Medical Insurance
Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life
Support (ACLS). Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML)
credential preferred.
