Job Description:

HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapy Tech PRN to join our dynamic team in the respiratory care department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work in a state-of-the-art environment, assisting in the delivery of expert respiratory care to patients with varying pulmonary issues. This role demands a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care while working on an as-needed basis to cover shifts, including weekends and holidays. Administer and monitor therapeutic gases, environmental control systems, and mechanical ventilation. Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis and spirometry. Assist in implementing patient care plans based on evaluations and physician instructions. Provide emergency care, including airway management and CPR. Educate patients and families on managing illnesses and treatments at home. Proficiency in the use of respiratory care equipment and tools. Ability to perform diagnostic pulmonary function tests. Strong organizational and communication skills. Capability to handle stressful situations and make decisions quickly. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
