Lakeland Regional Health – Lakeland, Florida - Level III Maternity Care | Level I Trauma Center Join a high-acuity, hospital-based OB/GYN program at one of Florida’s premier regional medical centers. Lakeland Regional Health is a Level I Trauma Center with a Level III Maternity Care designation, delivering comprehensive, complex obstetrical and gynecologic care in a state-of-the-art environment. This is a position for physicians who want to practice real, high-level inpatient OB — without clinic responsibilities or call burden. Why is the Women’s Care Hospitalist program different? - Employed hospitalist model - Full-time status with an average of 7, 24-hour shifts per month - No call. No clinic. No outpatient responsibilities. - True work-life balance with predictable scheduling - Practice alongside a dedicated team of 2 experienced OB/GYN physicians and certified nurse midwives 24-7 - Reliable back-up support from a strong OB/GYN team - Structured OBED model for efficient triage and workflow - High-volume, high-acuity exposure This is not a low-risk community OB unit. This is hospital-based obstetrics in a tertiary care setting. State-of-the-art Facility: Practice in our modern Women’s & Children’s Pavilion, designed specifically to optimize maternal and neonatal care. - Program highlights include: - Level III Maternity Care designation - Level III NICU - On-site Maternal-Fetal Medicine - In-house Neonatology - 17 Labor & Delivery rooms - 33 Postpartum rooms - 7 Antepartum rooms - 8 OBED rooms - 24/7 in-house anesthesia coverage• - 4 operating rooms dedicated to women’s health As a Level I Trauma Center, the hospital provides comprehensive multidisciplinary support, ensuring access to surgical subspecialties, critical care, interventional services, and rapid-response teams at all times.
